The Rock Pool Domestic Abuse Recovery Toolkit is the UK’s Leading trauma-informed recovery Programme for adults who have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse but are no longer in that abusive relationship. This 12-week programme aims to provide the knowledge required to aid recovery from the effects of living with domestic abuse and is delivered face-to-face.

COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT

The Sefton Domestic Abuse Service provides the opportunity for service users to process their trauma, rebuild self-esteem, and address mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, or PTSD.

Interventions:
  • Individual Counselling: One-on-one sessions via internal counselling services.
  • Psychological Therapy: Referral to Clinical Psychotherapist for complex cases
  • Support Groups: Group therapy or peer support groups where survivors share their experiences and gain mutual support from others who understand their situation.
  • Family and Child Counselling: For survivors with children, counselling may be offered to address the impact of domestic violence on family dynamics and children’s well-being.
